How to Unlock Soulrift Characters
Shop prices, quest gates, and a buy order that does not stall your account.
Soulrift’s roster is eleven playable fighters. Two are free, five are Souls purchases, four are quests. There are no promo codes that grant a character — the codes hub is empty — so this page is the only legal unlock map. Pair it with the unlock planner for the 9250-Soul shop total and with Players for HP and roles.
The two unlock rails
Shop (Souls): Reviva 250, Sunder 1000, Ricochet 1500, Lumina 2500, Raiden 4000. Bios: shop roster.
Quests: Clockwork (Awakening), Crystal (A Tundra Menace), Nyx (Greater Heights), Scar (Burning Soul). Bios: quest roster. These four do not take shop Souls, but they take a fight you might not be ready for. That is why quests and beat bosses sit next to this page.
Starters: Zephyr and Cross. You already own them. Stop “saving” for a starter. Read starters if you still do not know who to main for the first week.
Recommended order (public servers)
- Play Zephyr or Cross until Baby Steps and Just Getting Started are done (200 Souls). Table: Souls and XP.
- Reviva (250) if your groups wipe. A 80 HP healer with a revive changes more sessions than a 1000-Soul DPS you cannot keep alive.
- Sunder (1000) if you already have a healer in the friend group. Highest published close-range damage identity.
- Clockwork (Awakening) as soon as the quest is realistic. Acceleration, immunity, and movement buffs are group-wide. That is often a bigger DPS increase than your personal M1.
- Ricochet (1500) if you like ranged volume; stay on Cross until then.
- Crystal / Nyx / Scar when their quest bosses stop one-shotting you. Ice AoE, Blood-meter melee, and fire burn occupy different niches — see tier list.
- Lumina (2500) when you can live through long cooldowns. Burst that you die before casting is worthless.
- Raiden (4000) last unless you specifically want the grappling-hook hybrid fantasy. He is not a beginner tax.
VIP’s 1.5x Souls (gamepasses) shortens the shop rail. It does not skip quests.
How to know a quest character is “realistic”
You can explain two telegraphs on the required fight, your Dash is not on cooldown when the slam starts, and someone in the eight-player lobby can keep people standing (Reviva or Clockwork). If you are still eating the first mechanic, spend a session on controls instead of retrying the quest ten times.
We do not publish fake “defeat Ardil on Hard” requirements unless helix_works prints them in the quest log. Follow the in-game quest text. If the log says a difficulty, believe the log over a wiki rumor.
Accessories while you save
Do not sit on five empty slots to hoard Souls. Passives stack with whoever you currently play. Accessories explains the five-slot cap. A cheap speed piece makes Zephyr and Cross feel closer to Raiden’s mobility than another 50 Souls in the bank.
Team view, not collector view
Unlocking everyone is a long-term goal, not a Tuesday. Team comps cares whether the lobby has a support and a melee. If four friends all save for Lumina, you will have four long-cooldown casters and no revive. Talk before you buy.
What will not unlock a character
- Chat messages and fake codes — how to redeem.
- Tip / Big Tip gamepasses — they are donations, not roster keys.
- Shuffle Mode clears — fun, not a documented unlock rail. Shuffle Mode.
- Scripts that grant inf money — scripts. Ban risk, and you still will not own the quest characters if the quest is not completed on the account.
When helix_works adds a twelfth fighter, this page will gain a row. Until then, eleven is the full set. Play the experience, then pick one next unlock and ignore the rest of the shop UI for a week.
