Soulrift Clockwork

Clockwork is the Awakening-quest fighter: 90 HP, no shop price, and the highest group value on the tier list. He hands teammates acceleration, immunity, and movement. If you wanted a personal DPS main, Clockwork will feel like a buff bot. That is the point. Public eight-player instances wipe on telegraphs, not on missing a fourth Lumina. Team comps.

What you press

We will not invent Z/X/C titles. The published verbs are haste, immunity, and movement for other people. Bind those slots so you can hit them without looking at the bottom-left of the keyboard (controls). A late immunity is a dead Sunder. A late movement buff is a melee player still standing in Cryogen’s line.

Practice the order on the lowest tick of a boss you already know — Katan is the classroom, not a flex. Watch the 50% phase (named bosses) and pre-aim the immunity for the slam you can name out loud. If you cannot name it, you are not ready for Awakening on a raised tick.

90 HP is mid-low. You are not a sponge. Dash is still Q. Dead Clockwork hands out nothing.

How to unlock without wasting a night

Read the in-game Awakening text. This wiki will not add unofficial “must beat unnamed boss on Hard” lines. Match the log’s difficulty and no higher on the first clear. Bring a Reviva if the group is not already stacked. You are allowed to be greedy on Clockwork for the quest clear; someone else should be the healer.

Do the quest on a night you can already clear that boss on Easy. Unlocking Clockwork by wiping for an hour is slower than farming 250 Souls for Reviva and coming back tomorrow. Beat bosses, boss difficulty.

After the unlock, play him for a full session before you swap back to Zephyr “for damage.” The lobby will tell you whether the buffs landed.

Accessories for a buff bot

Clockwork wants to live and to press skills often.

• Badge Of Empathy (300 Souls) if support effects scale — cheap and on-job.
• Divine Crown (Seraphim, −20% cooldown) is the late greed piece.
• Metal Helm, Body Armor, Bandages — keep 90 HP in the fight.
• Magic Mirror — Dash cooldown so you can buff from a legal tile.
• Timekeeper’s Sword (Seraphim) if you need personal move speed to reach the pack.
• Skip Prosthetic Arm. Skip Doom. Damage badges are last; your M1 is not why people queued with you.

Clockwork versus Reviva

They are not clones. Reviva heals and revives (shop, 250, 80 HP). Clockwork buffs the living. Best lobbies run both. If you can only have one tonight, public pick-up groups often still want the revive first — unless Awakening is one clear away and Reviva is already in the party. Shop roster.

In a duo: Reviva plus Zephyr/Cross is the budget pair. Clockwork plus Sunder is the “we learned Dash” pair. In eight: one of each, then melee and ranged.

Shuffle, VIP, scripts

Shuffle Mode can roll Clockwork. Keep Empathy on. Do not strip slots “for the bit.”

VIP (gamepasses) does not complete Greater Heights or Awakening. It only speeds Souls you might spend on a babysitter Reviva for the quest lobby.

Auto-boss scripts (auto boss) can bug the instance and fail the quest credit. If you already accepted scripts risk, know that Awakening is the worst night to learn that lesson.

Reunion and the long view

New content on 13 September 2026 will be harder without haste and immunity in the lobby. Farm Awakening before you farm a rumor twelfth character. Confirm quest text in the live client: Soulrift. Then buff the slam you can already name.
