Soulrift How to Beat Acidux
Acid floors, pillar safe zones, poison stacks, and the phase-two Surprise attack.
Acidux is the fourth Soulrift named boss and the first fight where the floor itself is a mechanic. His lore: created by accident when scientists and military forces attempted containment, leaving him in constant pain. Every destructive act is an attempt to drown out that pain. The kit revolves around acid pools, poison debuffs, and positioning around pillars. Below 50% HP he gains a homing acid ball and the rapidly flashing Surprise attack. Drop: Radiator (passive near-boss damage) and R Factors (reduced DoT from burn and poison), each at Easy 25% / Hard 50%. This page is the dedicated fight. Hub: named bosses.
Moves you must name out loud
- Acid Slam. Acidux jumps and slams in an area marked with a red square and exclamation mark. When he lands, an acid wave spreads outward. You must jump over the wave — but you cannot be inside the red square when you jump. Stand at the edge and time the jump.
- Acid Field. Acidux fills the arena with acid while spawning pillars you can stand on. Standing in the acid applies poison and deals damage over time. Use the pillars or stay at the arena edge.
- Acid Blast. Acidux disappears, reappears, and charges an acidic projectile that splits into multiple balls. Green circles on the floor show where each ball will land. Move out of the circles.
Below 50% — new attacks
When Acidux drops below half health he gains two new attacks:
- Homing Acid Ball. Acidux creates an acid ball that fires toward you and then re-chases your position multiple times. Keep moving. It has a short cooldown between chases — do not assume it is done after the first pass.
- Surprise. Acidux disappears and green circles flash rapidly across the floor. The final circle turns red, marking where Acidux will reappear before firing an acid beam. The safe area can switch rapidly — watch for the red.
First-clear loop
Queue Boss Fight on the lowest tick. Pillar positioning is the primary skill for this fight. Watch where pillars spawn during Acid Field and plan your safe zones before you need them. The poison debuff from Acid Field stacks — do not sit in it between phases.
After the win: R Factors is the more valuable drop if your lobby is learning Acidux or running Scar. Radiator rewards aggressive near-boss positioning which suits melee characters on low ticks.
Party jobs on Acidux
Eight players on pillars need to coordinate. The lobby cannot crowd one pillar — find the open ones. Reviva must prioritize healing poison stacks over chip damage. Melee characters who need to stand near the boss to deal damage must watch the Acid Field timer and plan their exit before the floor becomes lethal.
Acidux drops
| Accessory | Effect | Easy / Hard |
|---|---|---|
| Radiator | Passive damage while near the boss | 25% / 50% |
| R Factors | Reduced DoT from burn and poison | 25% / 50% |
R Factors is mandatory-feeling on Acidux nights and Scar burn maps. Radiator is an A-tier pick for melee. Accessory tiers.
What Acidux teaches
- The floor is not scenery. Acid Field makes it a weapon — respect it.
- Pillars are your friends. Learn to read spawn patterns.
- Poison stacks between phases. Do not assume you are healthy at 50%.

Radiator (passive damage near boss) and R Factors (reduced DoT). Both at Easy 25% / Hard 50%.
