Soulrift Lore Hub

This Lore Hub collects what is publicly known about Soulrift’s world and characters. The lore comes from in-game descriptions, official YouTube dev-logs, and the Roblox experience description. This page does not invent connections or fill gaps with speculation. The cosmos pair (Nebula and Seraphim) and the named bosses are the best-documented parts of the world. Hub: guides.

The setting

Soulrift is set in a world where the Conductor leads the Keepers — fighters who are prepared for serious threats. The named bosses are people who either volunteered (Katan), were transformed (Lazereth, Acidux), made deals (Stormwalk), or represent forces beyond human scale (Nebula, Seraphim). The player’s role is to fight through these challenges using the roster of eleven playable characters.

The cosmos pair — Nebula and Seraphim

The most detailed lore in Soulrift surrounds the cosmos pair:

Nebula was born from the collision of two shooting stars. She became a ruler of the cosmos, bending planets and moons to her will. Eventually she came into conflict with Earth. At the height of her reign, she was absorbed into a much larger system — a greater force that swallowed solar-system-scale entities.

Seraphim was Nebula’s ally. Where she held dominion over moons, he held dominion over stars, most notably the Sun. He also possessed the ability to manipulate time. He shared Nebula’s fate and was absorbed by the same greater entity. Before losing his power, he hid a scroll containing a fraction of his abilities in the deepest part of Earth — the only planet with life near his star.

Their shared fate and the scroll on Earth create a thematic throughline that connects the final tier of the boss roster to the world the player inhabits.

Other named boss lore

Katan — The first conductor. Before the Keepers faced real threats, The Conductor needed someone capable of preparing them. Katan volunteered because he believed fighters deserved a proper challenge.

Lazereth (formerly Lapis) — The only person willing to participate in an experiment that was supposed to augment rather than transform. The result was a destructive cyborg who tore through everything until the one person he trusted was forced to shut him down.

Sunix — An expert archer who worked as an entity hunter in the living world. Repeated exposure to corrupted entities turned her into one herself. She knew she was losing control but continued fighting.

Acidux — The result of an accident involving scientists and military forces. He was contained but the process caused constant pain. His destructive behavior is less cruelty than an attempt to escape that pain.

Cryogen — A king who ruled with absolute authority until his daughter — the person he cared about most — stabbed him in the back. He still refers to her as “traitor.”

Stormwalk — He trained alongside his brother. Obsession with unlimited power led him to take the lightning sigil, which gave overwhelming strength at the cost of his humanity and sanity. A coalition was assembled to stop him. His own brother delivered the killing blow.

Mirage — A silent assassin who relied on deception rather than brute force. He completed infiltration missions without leaving evidence. When political tensions escalated into open war, he became a strategic target. A nuclear strike destroyed the entire region, taking him with it.

Ardale — A firefighter who volunteered for an impossibly dangerous forest fire mission that no one else would take. The fire consumed him, and the flames became part of his soul, transforming him into something far more dangerous.
