Soulrift How to Beat Sunix
Archer boss with arrow storms, tracking snipes, and a 50% AoE with a green safe lane.
Sunix is the third Soulrift named boss and the first pure-ranged fight. Her lore: an expert archer who worked as an entity hunter, handling containment breaches until repeated exposure to corrupted entities turned her into one herself. She knew she was losing control and kept fighting anyway. The kit is entirely projectile-based: arrow barrage, tracking snipe, arrow shower, and sky smite. Below 50% HP she gains a three-segment AoE with a green safe lane and a backward dash into a wide-line shot. Drop: Prosthetic Arm (−50% max HP, +30% damage) and Corrupted Emblem (+12% attack speed), each at Easy 25% / Hard 50%. This page is the dedicated fight. Hub: named bosses.
Moves you must name out loud
- Arrow Barrage. Sunix fires a spread of white arrows directly at you. Strafe perpendicular to the arrows, not away from them.
- Arrow Snipe. A slow-tracking, fast-impact arrow that locks onto your position when she draws. Do not stand still during the draw wind-up. Dash or move sideways.
- Arrow Shower. A rain of arrows falls across a wide area. Find the gaps or stay mobile throughout.
- Arrow Smite. An arrow fires from above onto a marked circle. Leave the circle when you see it.
Below 50% — new attacks
When Sunix drops below half health she gains two new attacks:
- Three-segment AoE. Two red rectangles and one green rectangle appear on the floor. The green is the safe lane. Move into it before the attack lands. The AoE covers roughly two-thirds of the arena — the green segment is the path, not a corner.
- Backward dash and wide-line shot. Sunix dashes backward and fires a wide horizontal arrow. This covers a long range; simply sidestepping a few steps will not avoid it. Move behind cover or well outside the line.
First-clear loop
Queue Boss Fight on the lowest tick. Ranged characters (Cross, Ricochet, Lumina) have an advantage here because Sunix’s projectiles can be dodged with lateral movement. Melee characters need to close distance between barrages and time their engages.
After the win: Corrupted Emblem is the safer drop to slot. Prosthetic Arm (−50% HP) belongs only on Sunder in low-tick practice or a dedicated damage setup with full team support — not on 80 HP characters.
Party jobs on Sunix
Eight players need someone calling the green lane during the three-segment AoE. The safe zone is wide enough for the whole lobby if everyone moves immediately. Reviva or Clockwork handles chip damage from stray arrows. Melee characters who close during arrow shower need to confirm their path out before committing.
Sunix drops
| Accessory | Effect | Easy / Hard |
|---|---|---|
| Prosthetic Arm | −50% max HP, +30% damage | 25% / 50% |
| Corrupted Emblem | +12% attack speed | 25% / 50% |
Corrupted Emblem is solid A-tier. Prosthetic Arm is D-tier for everyone except Sunder at low ticks. Accessory tiers.
What Sunix teaches
- Predictable movement is dangerous against tracking. Practice non-linear paths.
- The green lane in the three-segment AoE is wide enough for the whole group. Call it and move together.
- Ranged does not mean safe. Arrow snipe one-shots 80 HP characters who stand still.
